Kurt Possinger, M.D., Ph.D., did his medical school, scientific, and clinical training at the University of Munich, in his home country of Germany. At present he is chairman of the department of oncology and hematology at Humboldt University in Berlin. He is on the Board of Directors of the World Society for Breast Health, and head of the Executive Board of the Society for Internal Medicine of Berlin. He is active in many other professional societies, including the German Society of Senology (breast diseases), the Berlin Cancer Society, the German Cancer Society, the European Society for Medical Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Kurt's personal passion and professional life have been dedicated to the optimal care of women affected by breast cancer. He brings a contagious enthusiasm to extensive collaborations all around the world, and we are honored to have his cheerful and knowledgeable voice for Breastcancer.org.
